From airlineroute.net
As per GDS timetable display on 29JUN10, Air Austral is to operate Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on the twice weekly St. Denis de la Reunion – Sydney – Noumea route, effective 10FEB11.
The airline originally planned -300ER service in April 2009, but switched to -200ER operation. The change would free up the -200ER to operate new service to Bordeaux and Nantes from the same week.

Interesting given all the speculation on this and other sites about loads on this flight . I would have thought that if the through loads from NOU to RUN were as bad as has been suggested that UU would not have moved from the -200ER to the larger capacity -300ER .

Looks like a few marketing dollars are now being spent promting the flight. Heard an ad on the radio this morning promoting Reunion as a holiday destination.
