Guys - I just noticed that between the 19/5 and 30/5 there seems to have been a repair on the side at the bottom of the 'S' on 9V-SKB. Any idea what it was?

Isn't that where the emergency slides, or equipment associated with them are? As see here (red panel under door) in this latest A380 for EK...

I seem to remember that these had to be checked :confused: every 80 or so cycles...

Thanks Bernie - That makes sence, but why would the panel need to be relaced with an un-liveried one? Damaged?

I got to see the A380 take off the other day after my QF flight had a RTO and we taxied back for another go. Both sides of the SQ A380 (didnt catch the rego) are like this.

There was actually a problem identified a few months ago with the A380's slides (I think with the inflating gas?) meaning they had to be re-packed at the aircraft's first service.

Bloody tall honeycart!!!
SKC is also brandishing the same panel replacements. It was in today.
