VNK is off to Majuro tomorrow, rumours are it will be scrapped in the US, though its only a 10 year old airframe, so I am not so sure.
|
YFE due for a test flight today out of Wellcamp
|
VPI has departed Darwin with first stop at DPS followed by KNO
|
Yes Dylan, YFE conducted a 28 minute test flight out of WTB today. Maybe she will be sent for maintenance once YFH returns from CRK.
|
XFC due into BNE tomorrow from MEL

Guess they want to make sure it still flies first.. :) |
VNK has arrived in SBD in the USA.
VPI has arrived in HER, guessing it will soon follow VPJ to EXT. XFC is now due to perform a MEL MEL flight today... guessing the lockdowns have thrown a spanner in the works here. |
VUY - Heading to HKG in the next 10 days or so.
VUX - In the hanger in MEL. Won’t be too far away from heading off for it’s heavy check. |
Thanks so much for keeping the group informed of updates and maintenance for the Virgin fleet, Dave. We really appreciate it. It is good to see movement planned for VUX and VUY.
Do you happen to know when VUR will return to service now that it has had its maintenance in SIN. Also, will YFE be sent for maintenance once YFH returns from CRK with YFJ to follow later on? Lastly, do you know when 2-VYFI & G will be returning from the US? I see that 2-VYFG has been in Kansas City (MCI) for over two weeks now, which could be for more than planned maintenance, before it has to cross the Pacific. Thanks again for the information that you post. |

YFE and YFJ will also go through heavy checks. Not sure where as yet. YQR likely to enter service on 3rd June YQG is having its heavy check in the US before heading home. ex YFI will also heavy check in the US before heading home. |
Thanks for the information, Dave. Much appreciated.

Click thru pics to see VA ATR's arriving at Exeter |
2-VYFI (ex-VH-YFI, to be VH-YQH) has repositioned to MCI, joining 2-VYFG
|
VH-YQR was due to return to service this, operating VA328, but the flight was cancelled.
Assuming this is due to the lack of people wanting to head to the COVID hotspot. |
2-VYFI (to be VH-YQH) has just flown from GYR to MCI for maintenance, arriving an hour ago. It joins 2-VYFG (to be VH-YQG) which has been there for two and a half weeks and could be finished maintenance shortly for the return to BNE.

We will have to wait and see if it is deleted off the reg |
It’s in heavy maintenance with Hawker Pacific in CNS. The hangar is quite busy up there so it could have simply been towed out of the hangar to rearrange other aircraft in there.
If you’re going to scrap an aircraft, the first thing to go is the engines... |
