You guys have got no chance.

As I said on the day, if I haven't been told of your activities where you were (i.e. being there with lawful authority and excuse), then I will ask questions every time.
With all due respect Fred, airline staff can hardly claim they have an 'intimate' knowledge of that end of the field, hence the attention when they go there or sometimes 'stray' there.

And I think if anyone thought I was being serious about having a price to go 'spotting' with, then they obviously didn't pick up on the 'deep pockets' comment.

And we all thought you were a nice guy Nig :p
Must be time for a steak. lol. For that, you won't require "deep pockets" ;)

Frankfurt and Zurich had ramp tours (may still have) but don't think they let you this close!

With the Frankfurt tour, you must stay in the bus when air side. But I was able to get the bus driver to hold a couple of times to get some shots.

Hey, maybe there's a great opportunity for someone at Sydney to do something like this!!!

Oh, of course, there was previously, then the airport canned the cameras and then the tours altogether. ****ks.....

Grahame Hutchison 17th August 2010 12:48 PM

I have been on the Zurich tour several times and always enjoy the 15-20 minutes out at the Runway intersection. On busy days I have even arrived at the intersection on one bus tour, and left on the next, just to get more time out there (the buses overlapped slightly).

This is what you can shoot ...

Departing Runway 16/34 with Runway 10/28 just behind the aircraft.
