Yeah, it is brilliant. That captain sure knew how to fly it, shame about the f/o.

Hi Nick

I think Monty may be a screener for one of these sites so he was only trying to help and save you any disappointment if the photos were rejected.

BTW Monty, can you email me off board.

Thanks

Bob

Bobby, my only disagreement with what he said was how he said it. I will take more notice of a post which is factual than one which is rude. I know what he was saying, but there are just other ways to say things.

Monty is a valuable contributor to the board, I was just a bit taken aback with what he said! No hard feelings!

Nick

what Bob said...I could've said much worse but I just thought I'd give you a heads up. ;)

I'll tell you the basic issues now while I am here.

QF 767 taxi - unlevel, soft, dark & cut off

Thai - dark and underexposed (can't see the wheels) and they are obstructed.

Air NZ 777 is soft and way off level. probably soft out of the camera?

VH-OGP head on is dark & noisey

the UPS should be ok

the Portuguese A330 is a little soft and dark but it should be ok.

emailed you Bob...well I hope it went through.

Monty,

cheers for the advice.

You know my camera type from above posts, but I have no idea what setting it should be on.

These are my uploaded photos: http://www.jetphotos.net/showphotos.php?userid=25772

the setting used for that is the 'action' setting, which is the one where the dude is running. that is the only way i know how to describe it

I used a setting titled "S" for the above photos, and i think it gives a 1/200 second exposure.

action is no good...it increases the noise dramatically!

best advice, don't shoot in ***** conditions... :p

I can't really advise on the Olympus E300 as I have never owned or used it.
