It didn't 'miss curfew'. They had taxi clearance before time on the hour so could have departed but were advised by ATC when they were at the B2 holding point that they had to return to the gate due to an 'engineering issue'. The crew didn't seem to be aware that they had a problem.

Peter Agatsiotis 9th September 2011 03:02 PM

Not sure of an unidentified a/c with Zimbabwe hexcode which is about to arrive? Could be a miscode so don't want to get too excited!;) Last contact at 2300'

Jaryd stock 9th September 2011 04:21 PM

A unidentified C-130J had just arrived in Canberra I was just told Peter, this could be it maybe...

Peter Agatsiotis 9th September 2011 04:23 PM

Doubt it Jaryd, checked back and lost it 1600' so must be either SYD or Richmond.

Zac M 9th September 2011 11:05 PM

The C-130 was very low over my house (not anywhere near an approach point) at about 1600.

Brad Varney 10th September 2011 07:09 PM

Sighted B763 VH-OGG overhead a short time ago and checking Acars it is operating QF6023 to Singapore.
OGF still at the Jet base yesterday hasn't flown since 1st Sept and was slated as the next B767 to leave the fleet.

Fabian Lee 11th September 2011 10:29 AM

VH-OGG

Hi Peter Is OGG leaving the fleet? Was OGG in the standard QF livery when you sighted her? Thank you.

Peter Agatsiotis 11th September 2011 11:21 AM

I only saw the underside Fabian, no idea why it's going to Singapore, others in the 'know' may be able to help. Pretty sure OGG was going soon with a few others from memory.

Dave Dale 11th September 2011 01:12 PM

there was an article recently stating ATSG has purchased their fifth Qantas 767 for freighter conversion.

Does anyone know when OGF is leaving? I would like to catch a shot of an QF aircraft departing with blanked out titles.
