Any further updates on any of these flights?

LX-PCV arrived in Avalon this morning around 7am as CLX730 from SIN.
I think this only leaves the Cathay and MASkargo charters now. |
Thanks Shayne, you are right, just waiting on MAS and Cathy now.
Does anyone know what finally happened with LX-VCB,as in what time it arrived/ departed? Seems like it was well and truly in the dark.... what a shame :( Cheers Jim |
There was a Malaysian 744 in this morning around 8am from memory.
|
Jim, the Cargolux 747-8F arrived at 23.15pm & would have departed around 3.00am. It is currently steaming up the west side of Taiwan as CLX658A, after it's departure from HKG.
Lukas, the MH was 9M-MPR & I believe that the callsign was MAS6427. |

Thanks Ian and Lukas for the additional info.
Nice shot of the World Airways MD-11 Brian. Cheers Jim |
Just when we thought that 'it' was all over.....AVV is now expecting N477MC 747-400F Atlas Air (ex G-GSSC, N494MC) as GTI8569 around 20.30pm tonight.
Big thanks to Stefan P in Adelaide for this. Nice shot of the MD-11, Brian. I was the only one at the crash gate on Sunbury Rd for it's departure, which struck me as strange ! |
Thats why I went to a different location, thought everyone would have been there!
|
Brand new Atlas Air 744F in AVV now N477MC. Unconfirmed origon although f/n was GTI8569.
**Sorry didnt read above, but to add. Its supposedly due out later tonight to HKG. |
This thread is of great interest to me and i would like to pass on my thanks to all that have contributed the information for those such as me that are a little less informed on this subject. I think special thanks must go to Robert for supplying the original info and giving us all the heads up.
That said, thanks again to you all Cheers Jim |
hi jim. many thanks for your kind words........hope you managed to see most if not all the freighters , i believe the cargolux arrived late and in darkness which is a shame.....
we are now looking forward to the return flights at east midlands and over the course of the F1 season will see 747F's from KLM, ATLAS,EMIRATES, CATHAY,SINGAPORE ,CARGOLUX,AIR FRANCE,MALAYSIAN plus anyone else who has them.... Anyway happy hunting and hope you enjoy the race best wishes from the UK rob |
Does anyone know when the two F/A-18s came into Tullamarine today? I was driving past this evening and noticed them parked near one of the hangars...
They'll probably be the ones used for the F/A-18 flypast on the weekend for the F1. |
And does anyone know any details for the QF fly over on sunday before the race start? The usual 747 in attendance I assume?

VH-OEB is currently over Corryong in Northern Victoria heading south as QFA6601 showing a flight routing as "F1-GP-FLY".
|

And I can confirm visually that it was VH-OEB; I might have a photo or two of it once I start going through all the photos I took at the Grand Prix today. But for me, one of the highlights of the day was the F/A-18 flying around, one of these birds, which I shot at Tullamarine yesterday morning, definitely not a usual sight there:

Does anyone have any info on the cargo movements out of Melbourne today?
I'd imagine there would be a few aircraft all in a very short amount of time. The GP begins on Thursday in Malaysia!! Cheers M |
2 Malaysian 744F's & 2 Singapore 744F's. F1 contract went to MasKargo for this movement.

The Roulettes departed Essendon about half an hour ago.
