A few things today.
As well as the 5 diversions.United,Virgin Atlantic,QF 12,QF42,QF 22 we also had a first visit of VH-FKO Alliance Fokker 50 joining sister ship VH-FKY.Both immediately departed on a charter to Thangool. G550 N662CP arrived yesterday and Cessna caravan N506EX due within the hour. |

VH-SSV Fifo Air Metro P2-LAC C130 Lynden Cargo due soon. Past few days we have had a rotation of REX saabs with ZRB,ZRC and later today ZRM is expected down from TSV. QF 108 diverted in today as well. Skytraders VCJ was in twice on Tuesday. Cheers. |

Expansion of the Virgin Australia lounge at Brisbane Airport is just one of a number of significant infrastructure enhancements planned under a new agreement between the airline and and Brisbane Airport Corporation.
The deal also includes a series of major upgrades to Virgin's leased area at the domestic terminal over the next three years, new gate lounges to support the airline's growing ATR Turboprop operations and additional aerobridge gates for wide-bodied Airbus A330 aircraft. BAC chief executive and managing director Julieanne Alroe described the signing as a "significant milestone" for the airport. "The agreement proves the commitment of both BAC and Virgin Australia to the growth of aviation services in Brisbane, Queensland and Australia," she said. In addition, the agreement includes ongoing runway access for the next 10 years and support for the development of the new parallel runway. Alroe underlined BAC's commitment to building the runway with the project so far "on track and on schedule". "Our investment so far, along with today's announcement, demonstrates this commitment and is an important step forward," Alroe said. Virgin's chief financial officer Sankar Narayan described the airport as "key" to its growth aspirations, with 37% of its domestic flights departing or arriving there each day. "We have worked closely with BAC to achieve an outcome that is in the best interests of our customers, our shareholders and the state of Queensland," he said. Past several days have seen A330-203 MRTT A39-002 back for maintenance.
DQ-FJL(744) replace the normal 332 of Fiji Airways on Monday night. TF-FIW departed on Wednesday after going tech. Rare citation VH-MXD for BNE was also in during the week as well as DO 328 VH-PPV of AMSA. Convair VH-PDX departed back to Bankstown on Monday . ZK-ECO Vincent did a extra Roma flight which ended up in Melbourne but has since returned. AAE are planning to commence a weekly 733F CNS-BNE-POM-CNS tomorrow.This will give BNE spotters daylight chance to view these night aircraft. Cheers This week so far 2 days made it to 700 movements as things get busy. |

On 27 July 01-0065 C-37A arrived and departed the next day. ADB AN124F UR-82029 arrived and departed last night. USN C-40A 165832 landed last evening . Both Mineralogy MD-82's have been moved to the far north of the field. Cheers. |
PK-GFM operated the first flight back to Brisbane for Garuda. This aircraft is in a retro livery.
They will fly daily from DPS-BNE with B738s, in 0710 out 0840. |

Garuda have now brought in 6 different aircraft in the past week since they commenced operations on 01 August with 737-800's.
PK-GFM.GFD,GFS,GMS,GMU,GMV. Lynden Cargo N403LC has also been busy with a few flights ex BNE to the Solomons.It is currently still here. REX brought in VH-ZLF from WGA today. Emirates first time visitor A6-ENK last evening. All the other BNE based stuff still operating with Alliance been very busy with F50,F70'S and F100's all doing many flights and some new flights to Barcaldine,Longreach,Gladstone and more to Emerald. Tonight we are expecting Legacy 650 PK-RJP. BNE had it's busiest aircraft movements month ever with 19,647 movements recorded in July. |

The past week has brought us 2 Lynden Cargo aircraft.P2-LAD on 2 occasions and N403LC on at least 3 occasions.
Atlas 744F was in yesterday and out today N408MC. RAAF C17 A41-208 was in on the 21st. Biz included N7088S a Premier one, and 9H-VJF a Global 6000, and N485CJ a CJ4 and ZK-RML a westwind.Plenty of Aussie biz as well. Air North E-170 VH-SWO was here on 20 Aug. Local stuff such as Alliance,Jetgo and Vincent have been doing extra flights. Corporate Air also very busy with their Saabs,metro and C441'S doing plenty. |
Past week has been pretty quiet except for Lynden Cargo Herc which did approx 7 flights to the Solomons.
Plenty of local biz MBP,SGY,PNY,URR,CCJ,WXK,M-ATAR,VVI,DHN,N7088S plus N500RP a G450 were in during the week. Hi Fly A340 flew to SIN on Thursday as HFY 651P most likely for maintenance . We had another first timer from Philippines RP-C8611 A320. VH-OJE left our shores for good last weekend. A39-003 MRTT flew in yesterday. |

SOME NEWS: BNE last month was the 2nd busiest airport for movements in the country beating GA airports of Bankstown,Moorabbin and Jandakot .Source Air Services.Our busiest day this year has been 733 according to another board. Since PR started in June we have had 13 different A320 aircraft and since GA started 12 different 737-800's. |
