Thai Jet last week
One for Tim maybe and meant to post earlier.
On the 12th we had an unidentified Thai jet descend from 32000 to 12000. This aircraft then departed on the 14th and climbed to 33000. Would be either Canberra or Williamtown as I lost it at 12000 and regained at 12000 (on the 14th) Could be Thai AF? Hexcode 880049 (The Thai AF A319 HS-TYR was in Canberra I think the week before!) |
Peter HS-TYR A319 was in CBR on Sept 7th from Paya Lebar I beleive.
On the 12th which you mentioned it was Thai AF A310 HS-TYQ which arrived and departed CBR on the 14th both from/to DMK. |
Just wondering whether there are some special movements for Qantas CityFlyer service after the strike? Did Qantas deployed any B744ER, B744 or A388 on them to clear the backlog?
Thanks |
Thanks Tim, wonder why this a/c was not identified by my many systems as it has been around for years, was even here for APEC 2007.
|
hey all, was MH6203 a 7472 today?
thanks |
Yep, Southern Air 742 N761SA operated MH6203.

Evening all,
According to http://aegwaspotters.blogspot.com/20...t-aew2701.html Aerosvit B767-300 UR-AAG departed Perth for Sydeny this afternoon at 1550WST. So it should be in Sydney around 2130ish by my calculations |
Just landed runway 25 as AEW2701, saw it fly over my house, pretty neat livery from what I could barely make out. :)
Does anyone know why it is operating here? |
Bloody hell the week where all these movements are happening I'm stuck in hospital with a broken fibula and tibia / (snapped my leg playing Footy) if anyone can post photos that would be great...
|
Parked on Bay 99 right up close to the fence Jarryd although with stairs up so a clear short isn't possible. Toll Dnata are doing it.
|
Mate I won't be able walk for the next three months so won't even be able to get a shot. Spewen...
|
Luckily stairs were gone but sun glare at the rear but managed these:
|
Does anyone how long the 767 will be here?
|
My sources indicate it departs tomorrow evening (2145).
|
Evening all,
VH-VZS entered service today operating QF438 SYD-MEL. Now enroute SYD-ADL as QF765. It should return to Sydney later this evening from Adelaide as QF774. |
UR-AAG
I saw UR-AAG parked at Bay 99 most of yesterday - quite a pleasing livery I must say.
|
Yes, does look good.
This particular 767 has been to Sydney before when operating as V8-RBG with Royal Brunei. Regards. |
This afternoons NZ105/106 is opperated by ZK-NBU(744) and running very late is Asiana opperating HL7794(A333). CX2033 inbound opperated by Silver Bullet B-HUK.
Also, does anyone know what happned with Garuda A333 this morning? Taxied out on Alpha near A4, came to a stop for about half an hour then was pushback into Juliet? |
Nose wheel steering issue.
|
Does anyone have the name of VZS ?
Also is thier a site where the "new" names are logged ? Greg |
Tamworth is the name for VH-VZS Greg
Alexander |

Not sure the reason though. |
Yeah this is very good news :) when was the last time a thai t7 came here?
Not really noteworthy but last Sunday an MD 11 N273UP came in about 1pm and departed about 3:20pm apparently it was on a military charter flight, it was my 1st MD-11 I've seen taking off. Also CPA cargo B-KAH came in at 4:04pm anyone know if this was a one off schedule or does one come in every Sunday. thanks |
Brad,
The last time the Thai B777 were in Sydney would be around around the middle of last year when the changed permanantly to A346's. I think a couple have been through due to an A346's gone u/s. I stand corrected on this though Cathay Cargo by the looks have been mixing their schedules around of late. by the looks of the schedule below they aoperate 4 a week into Sydney until the end of october. Sunday's (HKG-SYD-HKG) CX021 HKGSYD 05:15 17:00 74F 02OCT11 - 23OCT11 CX024 SYDHKG 19:00 01:35+1 74F 02OCT11 - 23OCT11 Monday's (HKG-SYD-MEL-HKG) CX023 HKGSYD 23:05 09:50+1 74F 29AUG11 - 24OCT11 CX022 SYDHKG 11:45 22:20 74F 19SEP11 -24OCT11 (2220 is the time it arrives into HKG, CX22 will depart Sydney at 1145 for Melbourne) Tuesday's (HKG-SYD-HKG) CX023 HKGSYD 23:05 09:50+1 74F 29AUG11 - 24OCT11 CX022 SYDHKG 11:45 19:10 74F 20SEP11 -25OCT11 Thursday's (HKG-SYD-HKG) CX2033 HKGSYD 05:15 16:00 74F 01SEP11- 27OCT11 CX2032 SYDHKG 18:00 01:35+1 74F 01SEP11 - 27OCT11 |
Thanks a lot for that info Stefan. :)
|
May aswell note it now,
MH6203 this Tuesday will be the final Southern Air 747-200F visit. Starting next month it will be replaced by MASkargo B744's while the MH6173 will now be operated by their brand new A330-200F. So this means the end has come for regular classic visitors. |
Thats interesting I thought Melbourne was getting the A332F as a part of Malaysian's changing over from the 777 to A333 ops in and out of Melbourne.

Thanks for the info, I really hope they keep sending it,
I'm guessing the thai t7 arrives at 8pm. |
Hey Stefan,
I guess I should of not made it sound like it would be definately the last 742F flight to Sydney. I have looked up the MASkargo site and have now seen the promo you are refering to. The promo is interesting however the schedule tends to agree with my info meaning the website sort of contradicted itself there. The schedule tends to confirm what I have said and I also have been told by a very reliable source MASkargo A330s will be coming to Sydney, though no date was said but the A330F will be coming to Sydney. I have also noticed Southern Air 747 classics operating for MASkargo have been reduced in number. On the other hand that promo does seem newer then my info I've had for around a month so right now it is very confusing. My previous post can be taken with a grain of salt, but the 742F days are indeed numbered in Sydney and it is a possibility this Tuesday is the last visit therefore I am suggesting spotters should catch it incase it is the last one and they have not yet caught or heard the beauty. Cheers. |
Brad how bout looking on the airport website for the flight numbers...and finding out that way.

I mean it could be last scheduled Southern Air 742 service to Sydney . I was talking about Southern Air/MASkargo not all in general. After they leave any 747 classics visiting will be very rare.
|
Has anyone checked the schedule?
http://mhcargosch.ccnexchange.com/sc...=All&go2=GO%21 I'm not the best at reading schedules. |
It tells me that every Tuesday in October Sydney will see the A330-200F arrive at 1400.
