Confirmation from QANTAS that the refurbishments of the A380 fleet will be kept to six aircraft at present.

The A380s already refurbished - VH-OQH, OQJ & OQK. The A380s currently being refurbished - VH-OQG, OQD & OQI. It could be that OQG, which has been in DRS for over 3 months, has been completed and is now being stored there. Similarly with OQD which has been in AUH for over 2 months.

VH-OQL departed Sydney for LAX.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQF, which has been in storage at Los Angeles since 26th March, positioned Los Angeles - Victorville for long term storage this afternoon as QF6007.

OQK completed her ferry to VCV on 22/07

OQD flew a 3 hour and 42 minute test flight to the north-west of AUH over the Persian Gulf yesterday. Preparing to position to VCV to join the gang, perhaps?

I like the folk on pprune suggesting OQC will fly a white elephant track after departure!

I've heard that OQD/G/I will ferry via the Atlantic rather than the Pacific route

OQD has left AUH as QF6004 to LAX.

It's over 2,000 miles shorter from AUH via the Atlantic and another 2,000 miles shorter again from DRS. If the A380s don't need to come to SYD the Atlantic/Arctic great circle route is the way to go.

It’s over 13,000Nm from AUH to LAX via SYD , yet only 7,200NM direct AUH- LAX . It would be a no brainer to go via the N Atlantic route .

There will be 2 A380's remain at LAX

OQG is on descent to VVV at this time after ferrying from Dresden as the QF 6006 . It has about 20 mins to run to landing and then a long rest in storage one would imagine .

Ironically at the same time as the last ever A380 MSN 272 entered final production.

VH-OQB & VH-OQD are the two A380s remaining in LAX at present with the remainder now at VCV.
