I have seen some of these in the Jetphotos screening que...you might want to remove them Nick, they are going to get rejected.

Nick, what Mont is saying is that they probably won't be of the standard Jetphotos are perhaps looking for. Click this link below which are some of mine and see the difference. Then you will know what the Jetphotos screeners are looking for.

If you ever wanna hang out at the Airport I'd be happy to spend some time with you to help you bring them up to scratch, I am normally there every Saturday and Sunday. I am no expert I have only recently started submitting to Jetphotos myself but I am happy to help if I can. |
Some great shots there Nick W. Personal favorties are the Tristar, the a330 and the MD11, the dark sky behind that one looks great. Good luck with jetphotos.

Bobby, my only disagreement with what he said was how he said it. I will take more notice of a post which is factual than one which is rude. I know what he was saying, but there are just other ways to say things.

cheers for the advice. You know my camera type from above posts, but I have no idea what setting it should be on. These are my uploaded photos: http://www.jetphotos.net/showphotos.php?userid=25772 the setting used for that is the 'action' setting, which is the one where the dude is running. that is the only way i know how to describe it :eek: I used a setting titled "S" for the above photos, and i think it gives a 1/200 second exposure. action is no good...it increases the noise dramatically!
best advice, don't shoot in ***** conditions... :p I can't really advise on the Olympus E300 as I have never owned or used it. |

Nick, it takes alot of experimenting to get some of the shots right. I'll give you a few tips I always work by.....
Never use any camera modes other than Tv (Shutter Priority), Av (Aperture Priority) or M (Manual). M is definately the hardest to get used to, and Tv is probably the easiest. I tend to use Spot Metering almost always to ensure the aircraft which is the main feature of any image is exposed correctly. AE and Centre Weighted don't work as well for me. Always "track" or follow the aircraft with your camera as you shoot, never stop panning to take a shot. Always shoot at your cameras optimum ISO (Usually either 100 or 200 ISO). This will just add excessive and unwated noise to your shots. My camera has a minimum ISO of 200 and I always shoot with that. Always adjust shutter speed, aperture, exposure etc and only ever increase ISO as the last possible resort in bad light. If the light is that bad you have to increase ISO it might be time to go home for the day. I hope some of that helps. The best thing is to keep experimenting and keep taking photos until it all clicks for you. Nick. |

Generally around Sydney. that thing is at Warnervale with a bit of history also.
My Camera is not the best. K mart special. Had a few aircraft over the times doing charters etc but this thing it just for fun Andrew |
Ahh the good old 55 Baron's. Is that a D55 or just a BE55??
I've got about 380hrs in the old Baron's, nice twins. Anyone who hasn't flown one is missing out. |

I can't remember off the top of my head, but do the E55's have the IO-520's the same as the BE58??
I flew a D55 with the 285hp a side IO-520's in them, and geez it went! |
YYYYYYYEP IO 520C.
That one has one engine on condition (which sux) but with all the money spent on it it is not a bad thing to fly. 195kts at 24/24 at 5000 today the 2 blades are a tad loud though |
Yeah, be much nicer with a 3 bladed prop.
Be even better with 2 IO-550's in it! The 58's I used to fly normally TAS'd anywhere between 180-190kts at 8-10,000ft. I took off one day in an empty B58, reasonably cool day, held take off power (after all, it is max continuous, :D), normal 500ft turn after take off and by the time I was abeam the aerodrome again intercepting my outbound track I was at about 4,000ft AGL, :cool:. |
Andrew, next time your in the air give me a shout, I'd love to get some shots of you taking off and landing from the ground!

Bankstown - Narrabri - Wagga Bankstown in my 58 baron.
Was kind of acheck flight for a new pilot so i was in the back. Those storm cells scared the crappers out of me though |
That a 55 or a 58 Andrew?? I didn't remember the 58's having the flaps protruding out further than the ailerons?
2 nice machines anyway. Never got endorsed on the Cessna 300 series, however I did spend a fair amount of time in a C402A, which has a very similar fuselage and wing to the C340. Mick |
Yeah Mick, its a 58. No changing the fuel from mains to auxes etc after take off etc.
the 340 was a great thing to fly just mine had a few problems that were not really worth getting all of them fixed and it just started to cost too much Andrew |
