Great hopefully the Skyteam livery will be in. Thanks Stefan.
Any word on when or if Cargolux go over to 747-8F?
Just noticing Meridian Aviation Antonov 12 UR-CAH enroute Christmas Island to Richmond. MEM4091.
Regards. |
Antonov landed about 1:45 this morning.
Morning all,
You guys are in luck.... China Southern's 1st morning service with B772's is being operated by B-2056, which is in 'SKY TEAM' livery. |

UR-CAH was in Darwin a few months ago also. Unlikely but if anyone knows the departure time please let me know! :D |
It is inbound to Sydney now
Hasn't left Richmond yet...
Managed a shot of the AN12 at Richmond this morning as well as a departing USAF C17 (06-6163).
For anyone who didn't chase the AN-12, it has left Richmond & should just about be arriving in Sydney. Lucky buggers !
Thanks Ian, anyone got a departure time? I'm hoping it departs tommorrow!
I really want to chuck a sickie from work to just see the AN-12, or hopefully it departs Sunday.... My god that thing is smoooookeyyyyyy, the AI-20's sound brilliant too. Please keep us posted on departure times guys!

Today's MH6207 will be the final time that we see a Southern Air B747-200 in SYD. MH will now be switching to the A332F or their own 744F!
What time is that due in jayden? Thanks
Should of landed by now Tony give it 2hr turn around before departure...
An-12 just departed with clearance for DPS. Very smokey as per usual.

Todays flight seems to be yesterdays flight delayed, the aircraft must of went tech or servicing somewhere else since they used the 747 classic. For the last several months N761SA has been the only Southern Air 747 classic operating for MASkargo too. I imagine they will keep the 747 classic until all their A332 Freighters arrive. I doubt this will be the last time in Sydney for Southern Air 747 classics. N761SA will be back just not as often. |

So annoyed that I missed the AN-12, oh well, next time. :(
Shayne,
That was the info a mate had passed onto me. I have no idea if it's true or not. |
All good Jayden, not saying you are wrong I just doubt this is the end of Southern Air 747 classics to Sydney. However I've been having bad luck with posts lately so now I said they will come back they will probably dissapear.
Hopefully not though, you can't replace a classic. ;) |

Now that's some ridiculous smoke. Brilliant, hopefully one comes back in the future! :)
For all the young spotters Brisbane had 1 and sometimes 2 AN12'S based there for 10-15 years till about 3 years ago.It sure was a highlight to see takeoff 2 or 3 times every week.
I still wish that Pacific Expeess IL-76 was still getting around....

Singapore Cargo today is 9V-SCA , 747-412 BCF.
1st visit for 9V-SCA since conversion to freighter, former 9V-SPA.
This now means both SQ Cargo 744BCF's have visited Sydney. |
Every Monday will be the Singapore Cargo BCF from now on apparently...
Korean Air Cargo 585 is HL 7486, a 747-4B5 BCF as well today. don't know if this BCF is rarely in or not but I've never seen one in Sydney before in Korean colours....
