December Noteworthy Movements

Evening all,

I thought this would be the best place to put this.... The 1st flight should start tomorrow 2/12/11

Quote:

As per 01DEC11 GDS timetable and inventory display, China Southern from 01DEC11 to 31DEC11 is adjusting planned operational aircraft on Guangzhou – Sydney service.

During this period, all 2 Daily service operates with Boeing 777-200ER, instead of 1 Daily each of 777 and A330. This also means there will be no First Class service offered on this route in Dec 2011.

Schedule:

CZ301 CAN0820 – 2040SYD 777 D
CZ325 CAN2105 – 0930+1SYD 777 D

CZ326 SYD1050 – 1700CAN 777 D
CZ302 SYD2215 – 0500+1CAN 777 D
Hopefully you guys get a glimpse of the Skyteam livery B772 on the daylight flight. Rego is B-2056.

Jaryd stock 1st December 2011 06:33 PM

Great hopefully the Skyteam livery will be in. Thanks Stefan.

Brian Wilkes 1st December 2011 07:59 PM

Wow, it is like Richmond is having some sort of mini airshow, thats the 4th interesting movement in the last 2 months, all unique types we don't see.

UR-CAH was in Darwin a few months ago also. Unlikely but if anyone knows the departure time please let me know! :D

J Brown 2nd December 2011 10:52 AM

It is inbound to Sydney now

Jaryd stock 2nd December 2011 11:04 AM

Hasn't left Richmond yet...

Peter Agatsiotis 2nd December 2011 12:13 PM

Managed a shot of the AN12 at Richmond this morning as well as a departing USAF C17 (06-6163).

Ian Gains 2nd December 2011 01:00 PM

For anyone who didn't chase the AN-12, it has left Richmond & should just about be arriving in Sydney. Lucky buggers !

Shayne G 2nd December 2011 01:02 PM

Thanks Ian, anyone got a departure time? I'm hoping it departs tommorrow!

James S. 2nd December 2011 05:24 PM

I really want to chuck a sickie from work to just see the AN-12, or hopefully it departs Sunday.... My god that thing is smoooookeyyyyyy, the AI-20's sound brilliant too. Please keep us posted on departure times guys!

Today's MH6207 will be the final time that we see a Southern Air B747-200 in SYD. MH will now be switching to the A332F or their own 744F!

Tony G 3rd December 2011 05:48 AM

What time is that due in jayden? Thanks

Jaryd stock 3rd December 2011 06:22 AM

Should of landed by now Tony give it 2hr turn around before departure...

Tim Bowrey 3rd December 2011 07:01 AM

They have attempted twice now to replace the 747 classics and have failed. September was the last planned visit, then from the 27th November it was suppose to be all 744 and A332 ops.
Todays flight seems to be yesterdays flight delayed, the aircraft must of went tech or servicing somewhere else since they used the 747 classic.
For the last several months N761SA has been the only Southern Air 747 classic operating for MASkargo too. I imagine they will keep the 747 classic until all their A332 Freighters arrive.
I doubt this will be the last time in Sydney for Southern Air 747 classics. N761SA will be back just not as often.

So annoyed that I missed the AN-12, oh well, next time. :(

Jayden Laing 3rd December 2011 08:38 PM

Shayne,
That was the info a mate had passed onto me. I have no idea if it's true or not.

Shayne G 3rd December 2011 08:49 PM

All good Jayden, not saying you are wrong I just doubt this is the end of Southern Air 747 classics to Sydney. However I've been having bad luck with posts lately so now I said they will come back they will probably dissapear.
Hopefully not though, you can't replace a classic. ;)

Now that's some ridiculous smoke. Brilliant, hopefully one comes back in the future! :)

For all the young spotters Brisbane had 1 and sometimes 2 AN12'S based there for 10-15 years till about 3 years ago.It sure was a highlight to see takeoff 2 or 3 times every week.

Jaryd stock 4th December 2011 08:19 AM

I still wish that Pacific Expeess IL-76 was still getting around....

I remember them! Lots of little tales associated with them. I remember everytime one departed the airport and fire station would get a bunch of reports of an aircraft 'on fire'! :D

If Heavylift was still operational, we may of had an Il-76 in the region! Though of course they also said they'd get an DC-10 and that didn't happen either.

Singapore Cargo today is 9V-SCA , 747-412 BCF.

Shayne G 5th December 2011 08:26 AM

1st visit for 9V-SCA since conversion to freighter, former 9V-SPA.

This now means both SQ Cargo 744BCF's have visited Sydney.

Jaryd stock 5th December 2011 08:55 AM

Every Monday will be the Singapore Cargo BCF from now on apparently...

Jaryd stock 5th December 2011 09:34 AM

Korean Air Cargo 585 is HL 7486, a 747-4B5 BCF as well today. don't know if this BCF is rarely in or not but I've never seen one in Sydney before in Korean colours....
