"Olga" Erickson Air-Crane (N6962R) Sikorsky S-64E called in for fuel at Wagga Wagga Airport (headed towards Sydney). Picked this up on Mode-S (A943AE) for the first time.

Also picked up McDermott Aviation (N281JL) Bell 214B-1 on Mode-S (A2D285) but couldn't spot it (likely hidden by the general aviation hangars next to the AVGAS and JET A1 fuel depot).

I noticed F70 Unity 3393 tracking oceanic in towards Sydney, and thought that was a little unusual. This is definitely the long way around from Auckland to Melbourne - maybe something to do with an old twin over water, and they needed to track via Lord Howe.

No doubt for EDTO compliance - would need to remain within 60 mins (at OEI cruise) of NLK and/or LDH. Old twin over water (in a way, although old not quite the issue), as you said.

If my powers of deduction are playing, AA's 77W visit on Friday morning should be N734AR.

Heard the P-3 fly over this afternoon. Also been picking both of them up.

Been good to see some different stuff here on the south coast Grahame. Things should ramp up next week for fleet concentration period.

VH-PPD arrived yesterday from Essendon and was parked at the front of the paint hangar, today it is out of sight.

VH-KNS (paint stripped) is in the Australian Airline Pilot Academy hangar and VH-KNU is in the REX maintenance hangar.

and today VH-JSO made a brief visit due to weather and RFDS VH-FGS made a rare visit to Wagga.

late this afternoon, after completing the flight from Townsville as JQ913. The aircraft had touched down as I was still attaching the long lens - bad afternoon
traffic on Foreshore Road.
