A Turkish Government Airbus A319-115X TC-ANA made a very brief stop over in Sydney this morning, on its way from Wellington to Singapore Changi. The
aircraft was built in 1999 and is C/N 1002. After landing on Runway 34R, the aircraft taxied to International Bay 2 for re-fuelling, before it was on its way
again.

Great catch Grahame! I saw this great aircraft last year at Istanbul-Ataturk when coming back from the Anatolian Eagle spotters days at Konya; this was a nice bonus after an already amazing trip. Nice pictures too!
Best wishes,
Jonathan

Nice photos Grahame! :)

Rare to have two RAAF Canadair CL604 Challenger bizjets (A37-001 and A37-002) visiting Wagga Wagga.

With the Election on Robert, you might see a few more in Wagga Wagga

Greg Hyde 14th May 2016 12:30 PM

Depends if Wagga Wagga is a SAFE or SWINGING seat.

(Pun intended)

Robert.M 14th May 2016 09:48 PM

I'd like to see the B737 pay a visit (I missed the last), but a safe seat (the redistribution will see a slight drop but not enough to change it to a swinging seat) unfortunately will mean both Turnbull and Shorten will not be interested on the Riverina.

Spotted Microflite Helicopter Services (VH-JBQ) Eurocopter EC130 T2 Ecureuil coming in not far from my place.

Everything Old Is New Again

This morning's Cathay CX161/162 services were operated by A330-343 B-LAK in the new livery, however the nose cone was from the old livery (apparently
the nose cone was damaged in a bird strike at Melbourne, and this was the only spare)

Conditions in Sydney were hazy again from the back-burning in the Blue Mountains, and ATC advised that the HIAL was on.

Nice Robert, I have not seen a B200 with that style of livery before.

AirAsiaX "X-Men Apocalypse" Livery

This morning's AirAsiaX XAX222 service from Kuala Lumpur was operated by Airbus A330-343 9M-XXU sporting the X-Men Apocalypse livery. Each side of
the aircraft has different X-Men logos.

Airbus A319's - Ships In The Night

Two Airbus A319 movement within minutes at Sydney Airport this morning, Skytraders VH-VCJ arriving, and Rotona Jet Aviation A6-RRJ departing for
Manila.

The Rotana Jet A319 was a charter by the Shandong Luneng Football Team, for their game against Sydney FC at Allianz Stadium last night. Although
the game ended in a 2 all draw, Sydney FC have been eliminated from the Asian Champions League.

It was an overcast dull morning in Sydney today, with some light showers about - the Rotana Jet images were taken while holding an umbrella. There
are some blue patches and a little sunshine starting to appear now after lunch.

Yesterday (May 27th), for the first time this year (if I'm correct), they used runway25 all day. I always like that a lot because for me, living in Randwick, it means spotting in the living room! Great light as well. Here are some of my pics (200-300mm):
