RAAF 737s
 

Hi all,
Just moved backed to Aussie and have heard the RAAF B737's in and out of Sydney using different callsigns (Enoy, Regent and Wisdom today). I know they have assigned to SQN34 in Canberra but how are the callsigns asigned (im assuming the pilots have their own number as the flight number?).
Are both 737's in Australia at the moment as I heard ScoMo arrive back on the A330 earlier as Aussie 346.

RAAF VIP squadron callsigns change depending on task and passengers, specifically:
Envoy is used for a VIP such as PM etc
Regent is used when it’s a royal family member or rep
Wisdom is the squadron callsign for air work etc

All of that information is woefully incorrect, sorry.

Apologies then but that was the case when I was in YSSY TCU, must of changed. I should add Consort is a 34SQN call as well in addition to Envoy Regent and Wisdom, current MATS refers

I know it’s a long shot and the chance are very slim.
Is there any cabin photos of the RAAF 737BBJ, KC30 vip, Falcon 7x and the now retired Challenger 604.
Surely they are not as nice as some other government and royal aircraft that have cabin photos online.

Apologies but task & callsign breakdown information is not in the public domain for a reason. I'm sure you can understand why.

The callsigns allocated to 34SQN can be found in the Airservices Manual of Air Traffic Services, on page 6.2.2.1 however.

A62-001 has had a 02:21 test flight at Basel after the cabin fit out.

A62-001 had another test flight in Basel yesterday.

There was a controversy a couple a months back when the government bought the two aircraft outright because it was cheaper then the full lease cost.

A62-001 arrived in Canberra yesterday after a delivery flight from Dallas via HNL.

It visited BNE today as EVY 54.:)

A62-002 is currently from Europe to US prior delivery to RAAF.

A62-002 had a test flight yesterday BFI-BFI.

Reportedly, handover/delivery flight.

We will wait and see when it heads down-under.

A62-002 is making its delivery flight from BFI to CBR, via HNL, as ASY379

A62-002 arrived in Canberra last Friday 02/08/24, direct from HNL.

We will wait for the two older birds to be returned to the lease-holder,

Not at all, there are no photos of the original BBJ's either.

Both machines were new builds sans cabins, the earlier 4 ur old N516BJ/64061 mention is now headed to Adani!

No idea sorry Greg, I’ve just seen an Instagram story of them both sitting out there, one with RAAF titles painted over and the other looking like it had just arrived
