Look out for VH-VUL, due to come out of the hangers on the 29th in an Avatar Livery

I'm assuming it's to do with the film's upcoming release to DVD.

In saying that, I'm astounded that it's STILL in the Cinemas now, when I walked past a Hoyts recently!

I bet it's painted.......blue!

Will be in Sydney on Thursday about lunchtime for PR launch ex BNE

Does anyone have the exact arrival/departure time in SYD? or flight number will work also. Appreciate.

From what one of ASM's at work just told me, the PR launch is due to start around 11am so she should be arriving mid-morning sometime.

Looks like its on its way down now over the QLD/NSW boarder climbing through FL280.

Due in about 10:45am as DJ9004

Arriving at Bay 99 & Departing for BNE at 2pm as DJ9003

Landed 34R at 1051.

For all the fuss I expected something a bit more fancy. DJ had people painted as Avatar characters meet the aircraft, and over half of the pax had Avatar face paint and a few had matching wigs. At least one hostie had face paint, the pilots didn't.

That's a shame - at least it will be easier to remove in a couple of months. I expected that the fuselage would be that avatar blue.

When you were talking about a new VB logo jet, I thought it would be something from the guys at Carlton United Breweries. :)

I love that they are wearing thongs (the foot kind) and the visible blue undies. As for the tails, I don't even want to know where they get attached. ;)
