Air Asia X is on Planeplotter with 'No Reg' so could be 9M-XXL as per Stefan's post last month (ex Dragonair)!

Grahame Hutchison 1st June 2013 09:23 AM

From www.16Right.com ACARS ...

9M-XXI D70222 01/06/2013 08:56 A-330-343X (1411) 2013 - AirAsia X - Kuala Lumpur-Sydney

Delivered on 23/04/2013

Peter Agatsiotis 1st June 2013 10:13 AM

That's interesting Grahame, 9M-XXI was in yesterday with hexcode 750298 but today it is 750299 hence my assumption. Will try and eyeball it when it leaves.

Noel White 1st June 2013 11:15 AM

Passing over you about now Peter. Maybe too far to the north.

Cheers,

Noel

Something a bit different from China Southern was this evening with B-6515 opperating CZ301/302. This aircraft is fitted with P&W engines (unlike the usual RR powered A332s we usually see). This aircraft is also in a different configuration to those that usually opperate the service.

Thanks for the info Jayden. I got my first photo of Fiji Airways. I just missed out on the C130 as they switched runways. I could have pulled over on Qantas drive and got a top shot of the herc but the better part of me obeyed the rules. If it was a Dc8 or something like that maybe .

BTW anyone know when the herc takes off?

Stefan Perkas 3rd June 2013 07:08 PM

Off topic I know, however does a different aircraft ever operate the BKK - SYD leg?

Also seems the ENJ oped into BNE the day before, was this its first flight to Australia?

Cheers

M

Stefan Perkas 6th June 2013 12:46 AM

Evening all,

JAL are scheduled to operate B777-300ER's to Sydney on Friday. http://flightaware.com/live/flight/J...050Z/RJAA/YSSY

Looking at JAL'a schedule it is hard to tell how long the B77W's will be operating for.

Stefan Perkas 6th June 2013 02:21 PM

looks like a change. Flight will now be operate by B777-200ER.

Shayne G 6th June 2013 02:21 PM

Qantas 737-800 VH-XZG is due into Sydney tomorrow night on delivery at around 1735 as QF6024. It should continue on to Melbourne at 1835.

This is supposedly Qantas' 100th Boeing 737 and 250th Boeing aircraft.

I don't recall any 737's coming through Sydney on delivery in a while.

Actually XZF was officially the 100th 737 - but it didn't tie in with the JQ 787 being put together.

It is going to SYD first to drop off some of the media on board.

Shayne G 6th June 2013 05:16 PM

Cheers Sarah.

Greg Hyde 6th June 2013 05:31 PM

I disagree with the count as they have included 12 x DC-9's flown by TAA/Australian and not made by Boeing. Here is the AA story:

http://australianaviation.com.au/201...eing-aircraft/

I suppose QF has a create a story somehow to get some positive press.

If they waited until the remaining 738 are delivered & a couple of 787s it would be next year.

Sarah C 6th June 2013 07:00 PM

It is pretty unique for a number of a type to reach 100 and then to have the total also at a milestone number. If they were separate, it would have been a non-event.

QF didn't make the story - it is Boeing who made the count so it is there decision.

Shayne G 7th June 2013 01:55 AM
