No QF93 - 19/8/2010?

This morning's QF94 arrived in Melbourne on time, although the Melbourne airport website and flightstats.com are not listing a QF93 departure for today?

Is this a mistake on their computer system or has the flight actually been cancelled?

I understand with sufficient prior warning of cancellation the airline can put its already booked passengers onto alternative flights, however would that not suggest that the original flight had relatively light passenger load?

I thought QF93 was an almost full flight everyday of the week?
Is there anyway the general public can access a recent history of passenger loads for this flight?

cheers
Adam

VH-OEF QF0094 19/08/2010 06:03 Qantas B747-438(ER) Los Angeles-Melbourne

Per the ACARS listing, VH-OEF definitely arrived today as the inbound. I checked the QF online timetable, and for whatever reason, no QF93 or QF94 is scheduled for today which is why it isn't showing up as a cancelled flight. Perhaps someone has an explanation for the schedule deviation.

There was an internal memo put out a few month's a go stsating that it would not operate on this day.
For what reason I cannot rememebr for sure.

It was a planned cancellation for the 01 August - 26 September period, for both today and 31 August, for reasons as stated in the International Schedule Variation Memo (which is not a public document).

Thanks for the info.
As this is a new concept to me, I assume all intentional flights have these 'planned cancellation' days throughout the year?
