Singapore Airlines A330
i am sure this has been spoken many times before, but i have tried a search and could not find anything.
dose anybody have any news on the arrival or current status of Singapore Airlines Airbus A330 aircraft. correct me if i am wrong but i think they are getting these aircraft as compensation as a result of the A380 Delay. thanks, joe. |
I researched this a few weeks back when an article said they were coming to BNE, and found they were coming around may next year with i think 19 coming over 2 years.
And yes i believe it is apart of compensation for the 380 Cheers Lloyd |
sweet lloyd. thats great, thanks for that.
i am sure they will look pretty good in the SIA livery :D joe. |

Whilst they would have received a good amount from Airbus for compensation, I think the A330 choice had more to do with the A350 order. |
looks like the third SIA A330 is out of the hanger.
wounder where the two other ones are? delivery shouldn't be too far away! SIA A330 MSN0986 F-WWKG - to become 9V-STC http://www.flickr.com/photos/a380spotter/3064548983/ |
Ymml will also see the SQ A333. It will take over the SQ217/218 service down the track.
|
1st flight into BNE is sat night 28 march.
Next day all 3 flights will be 333 into BNE and the morning flight into PER as well. Cheers Lloyd |
Hi Lloyd,
Where did you get that info? |
Michael hi
Basically thru 30 years in the industry and having alot of contacts however as you appreciate i cannot reveal this exact source on this board. Let me know in April if i am correct. Brisbane and Nagoya were always the first 2 ports notified already by SQ however i was not aware of Perth till told this week.I am not aware of MEL being a 333 port. Cheers Lloyd |
Cheers - thanks for the heads up. No offence I was just curious :)
|
Thanks Michael
No worries mate Cheers Lloyd |
A full-length photo of the first Singapore Airlines A330-343E has surfaced on jetphotos.net.
http://jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=6433686 Looks pretty :) - but it would look better with GE engines, in my opinion. :p |
It looks great in Singapore colours
