Will this replacement 757F have the same DHL colour scheme?
|
Yes William ... It arrived at East Midlands Airport on the 22nd at 2030Hrs local in full DHL colours from Bangor , using the flight number "Iceair 123 " .. It is expected to be there a couple of weeks prior to delivery to AKL . I will keep you posted as I know more . At the moment the reg N701AX is roughly taped on .

Does anyone know what happened to the old B727 DHL crew? Were they meant to be trained on the B757, or did the change of aircraft make them redundant?
|
G-BMRJ will leave at the end of August, so there is still some time left for those interested to catch it. :D

I think they were made redundant as the DHL Air 757 was wet leased so they had their own crew. When I spoke to them last year the tech crew were all looking for other employment.

the current was wetleased for about a year which is perfect timing since it'll leave nearly on the one year anniversary since the B727 left our skies. I don't think the new 757 is wetleased so we may see the return of the B727 pilots if they have been certified to fly the 757! :D |
