Hong Kong airlines

In a press statement issued today, Hong Kong Airlines is acquiring Airbus A330 aircraft to serve medium-haul routes, including Middle East and Australia.

With the progressive introduction of A330 aircraft from 2009, it will begin reducing the number of 737-800 it operates.

Wow, then the Hong Kong - Sydney service can raise up to 8 Daily, with the 4th carrier HX think will offer low price. Think the competition would be really tense in this route, as much as Singapore - Sydney.

Hong Kong Airlines (HX) is offering traditional service, but its ticket price is relatively low (similar to O8 Oasis was doing in the past), think QANTAS and Virgin Blue (Pacific Blue) should do something (such as launching JQ service or add another flight departing 2200 SYD) on their Hong Kong route.

Sincerely hope HX can get a 1500 or 2200 timeslot from Sydney.

Furthermore, Hong Kong Airlines had sacked 10 captains because "they don't know how to drive an Airbus"
