VKL ferried Sydney to Melbourne as JQ7995 yesterday (16/10)

VKG has been doing daily crew training/refresher flights over Melbourne for the last week

Sydney - Avalon start back up shortly.

VKL ops MEL-PER-SIN yesterday, 1st time JQ 788 into Perth. Will be weekly on Thursday.

The BNE airport schedules have JQ 788 Cargo flights starting this month BNE-AKL and BNE-NRT once weekly as well.:)

VH-YXS, the first of the 4 ex-GK aircraft recently added to the JQ fleet, operated its first revenue flight today as JQ696 OOL HBA

VH-YXV ex JA11JJ towed to the terminal at BNE today.:)

Looks like it positioned today to MEL as JQ7993

YXV sister ships have also ferried to Melbourne before entry to service.

YXT ferried from MEL to SYD today.

YXW ferried from BNE to MEL on Tuesday.

YXT due to operate its first flight tomorrow SYD OOL as JQ410

Ended up operating JQ503 SYD MEL.

That leaves YXU & YXW in Melbourne awaiting entry into service.

VKF ferried ASP MEL yesterday as JQ7997 leaving 4 JQ B788s in the desert.

YXW entered service today operating MEL BNE as JQ560

Does anyone who if VKG has operated a PAX service as yet ?

VKG has operated PAX services since JQ520 from MEL-SYD on 16/12/21, Greg. It then operated the MEL-CNS-MEL-OOL-MEL rotation from 17/12/21-19/12/21 but returned to MEL on 20/12/21 on its way to CNS and hasn't flown since.

YXV has entered service today, operating JQ578 MEL BNE

I have recorded six A320 that have arrived in Australia from Jetstar Japan and been re-registered. With four now in service with Jetstar, does anyone know whether VH-YXU (ex JA06JJ) and VH-YXQ (ex JA12JJ) will be also commencing operations with Jetstar? They arrived in ASP in December, 2020 and January, 2021 respectively.

Both are still at ASP

VKF has returned to service, operating JQ430 MEL OOL on 23/12.

Can i throw this out here.
JQ are advertising for Lames at BNE but it lists 717 as one of the JQ fleet.

XNJ has joined the JQ fleet from 3K.
It positioned to MEL from SIN on 100122 under its old rego 9V-JSP as JQ903

Added to Dec 2021 / Jan 2022 - New Deliveries / First Flights earlier

YXQ currently positioning from ASP to SIN as JQ8991

Jetstar Asia A320-200 9V-JSN is about to touch down in MEL after ferrying from Singapore as JQ903.

I presume it must be intended to join the Jetstar Australia fleet together with 9V-JSP.

VH-VKA has been dusted off and is currently positioning from ASP to OOL as JQ7997

Added to register on 25/1 as VH-XNI

B788 VKB has also been dusted off and positioned ASP MEL today as JQ7997
This leaves only 2 JQ B788s in ASP - VKD and VKE

Thanks for the information, Tristan. No doubt in readiness for recommencing Jetstar flights in March to HNL and DPS from both SYD and MEL.

This was announced today as part of Qantas 6 month reporting period.

Reallocation of Jetstar international aircraft to optimise domestic capacity in 2H22
— 787-8 deployment from Jetstar AU International and A320s from Jetstar New Zealand
— 5 x A320 from Jetstar Asia
— 2 x A320 from Jetstar Japan (total of 6 by FY22

Another in quick succession, VH-VKD has positioned ASP SYD as JQ7997

And finally, VH-VKE, currently en route from ASP to MEL as JQ7999.
Good signs for Australian Aviation!

Jetstar Asia 9V-JSM was added to the VH reg on 25/2 as VH-XNN.

The a/c is still in Singapore awaiting ferry.
