It's a shame. This was a MAX route before the grounding, so would the reason perhaps be that the replacement aircraft is no longer economical on this route and/or the smaller fleet (due to no MAX aircraft flying) making utilization of this aircraft better elsewhere?
ADL is my hometown and I love seeing new routes come to this airport, although I realize it's a small market. I always thought with these FJ flights that if they were better timed for US connections they could have also gotten more through traffic like NZ through AKL and allowed for Int'l-Int'l connections making it more seamless. |
I don’t think it had anything to do with the Max, while it was promising in 2018, they went backwards this year in numbers, with just 715 carried in Jan, when I would have expect the most capacity to be taken up. With eight flights in Jan that’s around 90 pax on each.
