Quote:

Three people have escaped injury after a light plane they were travelling in crash landed into a lake on Liverpool golf course in Sydney's south-west.

Emergency services are travelling to the scene in Lansvale where the aircraft crashed into a small manmade lake on the course.

An Ambulance NSW spokesman said none of the three people on board appeared to be injured.

In a post on social media, the Liverpool Golf Club said the plane had crashed on the 10th hole.

Could have been a very different outcome had other runway been in use. There is lots to be said for green space around airports, from memory I hit the crash alarm at least four times a year when I worked in the tower there.

ch7 news showed those on board walking away and not even wet.

Well done, pilot
