PER, 5/5/08, approx 1645
 

I was at school waiting for yr 12 photo, and usually during the day the flight path for arrivals is present in the morning, departures during the arvo (claremont fyi).

Anyway, today i noticed (what i think was a departure) a blue aircraft...

It had blue engines, and most of the fuselage was blue.

Wondering what it was! The only QF flight out was to Canberra qf718 at exactly 16:45, but i dont think thats it. (edit:also qf 1826 to newman)

The 2 engines were under wing too if that helps:).

If you get Malaysian 777's into PER then I would suggest that what you saw was 9M-MRD.

edit: also, i should have picked up on it, but how distinctive is the sound of a 777? I can tell it before i see it...
