Lufthansa launches fleet of business jets

German airline Lufthansa has become the first major airline to own and operate its own fleet of business jets. Lufthansa Private Jet launched on June 1 in response to the growing demand for this service.
Its main activity is point-to-point charter throughout Europe with a fleet of seven Citations, and into Russia with two Canadair CRJ200s converted to Challenger 850 configuration, all operating under the AOC license of Swiss, the airline owned by Lufthansa.
