First to take off was VH-YFW
First to land was probs one of the warbirds.
Edit: according to Llyod the first to land was the Spitfire VH-XWE
Wait, I thought the L-39 Albatross was the first to land? In the stream I saw the L-39 parked, the P-51 taxiing and the Spitfire doing maneuvers...

The other warbirds landed on the current runway to position themselves near the new runway Sean.
The Spitfire was definitely the first to land on the new runway.

Cheers.

I feel sorry for the two Jetstar flights that had to hold while the ceremony played out

Ah I see. No wonder there was no coverage of them landing.
