Mel Airport Terminal Hours
 

Hi - dumb question but cannot find anything on the Mel Airport web site. I am arriving into Melbourne from KL at 1.20am, and will fly onto to Sydney at around 6am. Do they close the terminal to public access in Melbourne like they do in Sydney?

as long as flights are arriving airport is open

i do believe the terminal area where the gates are are closed unfortunately.
i remember many times in both DJ and QF/JQ terminal that when a late arrival comes in, no one is aloud past the security point. and my flight landed about 11.40pm and my family members picking me up had to wait where the baggage claim caracells are.
so im guessing 10.30-11ish will be the cut off point

The Domestic gates areas will be closed, however the "pre-security" area will be open. The International terminal (land side of customs) is also open (and has more facilities than the domestic equivalent).

Apart from the domestic gates the rest of the terminal is open 24 hours.
