100ml Limit On Liquids

This question is sort of aviation related. We all know the 100ml limit on liquids in our carry on luggage on international flights, but does anyone know if this 100ml limit applies if we sail out of Australia on cruise ships? I can't seem to find the answer using Google as all it mention is departures from international airports.

I have not had that enforced on cruises I have done - last one was ex sydney early 2015

you can take a bottle of wine on board so i wouldn't think it is an issue unless it is a really recent change.

I went on the Emerald Princess to the South Pacific in November last year and the 100ml limit on liquid does not apply on cruise ships. As John said, there is limit on how much alcohol you can bring onboard, but not on other liquid.

A lot of cruise lines do have liquid limits, for instance P&O allow 12 cans only per person, no alcohol. Nothing to do with security or LAGS.

Carnival allow one bottle:

Guests are prohibited from bringing alcoholic beverages on board with the following exception - At the beginning of the cruise during embarkation day only, guests (21 years of age and older) may bring one 750 ml bottle of sealed/unopened wine or champagne per person in their carry-on luggage. All liquor, beer, other forms of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages outside of this exception are strictly prohibited in both carry-on and checked luggage and such items will be confiscated and discarded and no compensation will be provided.

Thanks guys. I'm sailing with Royal Caribbean next Monday and they allow 2 bottles of wine per stateroom to be brought on board on embarkation day. I just wasn't sure if port security will confiscated if the 100ml rule apply. From the responses, the rule doesn't apply.
