At the Boeing Everett facility yesterday, the 7th 787 for Qantas (production line number 774) is second in the queue to be delivered, behind a Norwegian Air. At the time of visit, the Qantas bird was having the cabin seats installed. That airframe was followed by another Qantas 787 900, the production line number I could not see from our vantage point.

Does anyone know the expected delivery dates or months of each of the additional six 789s ordered by QANTAS? The only information given by QANTAS at the time of the announcement was that delivery was to be from late 2019 to mid to late 2020. I can't seem to find any more specific information on line.

What are the chances of the 787-10 as a A332/3 replacement. With the eldest being 16 and 15 years old respectively, or are those replacements not being considered as yet with the recent cabin refresh they have had?

Yusef D 3rd November 2018 02:59 PM

maybe a combination of 787-9 and -10. don't know if the -10 could do all of the A330's Asian routes with a full load, but they might become -9 routes. (ie SYD-PEK, SYD-HNL)
