Channel 7 Sunday Program about A330

Saw a promo last night for this coming Sunday program on Channel 7 about the A330 Learmonth incident and in their words how it was almost Australia's worst aviation disaster.

"More examples of sensationalism in journalism" sounds like what the program should be about - and obviously, because Emirates doesn't have a white kangaroo on it's tail, the Melbourne incident has been convienently forgotten!

Anyway (rant over about journos) might or might not be worth a view this Sunday.

Scarebus , or SCARE CAMPAIGN by ch 7:cool:

Scarebus - how original.......how long did it take them to think that one up?

They didn't use "Airbus - French for what will it do next".

A couple of passenger interviews from the QF incident, and why wouldn't they be scared.

A loud mouth Yank Captain, and Boeing Lover, harping on about computerised cockpit messages annoying the crap out of the tech crew.

A attempt to link the QF incident with the Air France Atlantic crash, a fiarly long bow.

And very little, actually none, technical analysis of the incident.

Waste of time.

Glad I said in the original post - "More examples of sensationalism in journalism" ;)

Nice to know that the stuff that comes from the back end of bovines is in plentiful supply at our commercial television networks!

Why did anyone expect anything different that what was apparently on the show.

Glad I missed it and looking forward to my next A380, A320, A319 and A330 flights next month :D
