Thats a shame. Another international carrier suspending services. Love their livery. Hopefully they will resume as they suggest.

Whats the reason for keeping and increasing Melbourne? Did they have significantly better loads from MEL? Or is it costing them too much at Sydney airport?

Both according to travelweekly today.

I believe the loads are very full out of MEL .Linking 2 large casino cities also has helped.

There is also some doubt they will come back to Sydney in December it may be later according to the report today

have been watching their loads the last week and not one flight has come in/gone out MEL with more than 100 pax....wouldn't say they are quite full by any means:confused:

Daniel i read a trip report on another aviation board which stated the flight on 26 dec 2009 was 100% full.

I flew them SYD-MFM and MFM-SYD back in december, and neither flight was full. The SYD-MFM leg was at about 80~90% by my estimates, with a few empty seats here and there, enough for a few people to lay across the middle row of three seats.

The return leg was probably ~60% by my estimates, with at least the last 10 rows of the middle aisle occupied by people laying across the whole row (I probably should've done that and would've gotten a better night's sleep), while I had no one next to me in my window seat either.
