Jetstar Dash 8
Did any hawk eyed spotter notice the Jetstar Dash 8 that sneaked into SYD today?
Strange to see a silver one amongst all those white and red ones!;) |
I noticed it on radar. Plan to see it depart. However, might be a bit hard. I have school tomorrow. Btw, are you talking about VH-TQM?
|
VH-TQM arrived in SYD from Melbourne after doing several laps between MEL-LST-MEL.
There was talk on the "Brisbane Airport Stuff" thread that one of the ex-JQ birds maybe scrapped. |
Sean, you are obviously a keen spotter :-)

Repaints are all done in TSV.
It’s just on standby to operate for JQ if needed |
I've added this post of Max's from the QANTAS Branding thread to give an update on the current ex-Jetstar Dash8-300 liveries.

VH-TQM departed yssy for tamworth today. Was caught off gaurd and missed my chance.
|
Parts donor I suspect
|
I think just parking over Christmas, TQL is also there. Given the age of the JQ Dash 8s (and other info which i won't go into in a public space), I would guess that one current link frame will be parted out (if any), likely to be one from TQY, TQZ, SBB, SBG, SBJ and SBT
|
Yes one will be parted out. Not sure if it’ll be a QLink or JQNZ one but SBB is 20 years old.
|
SBI to TSV for paint, TQD back today.
|
TQD should be named Mt Isa
|
Mount Isa
|
SBI is back today from TSV.
No replacement as yet. |
SBI is named Echuca
