Sydney- New York on Qantas

Anyone done the QF 107 to New York Is 2 hrs enough-I know they can't go without you- but this period of time seems short allowing for Immigration and customs and then security checks etc

I have done this many times and the results will vary depending on immigration. The security lines at TBIT at that time of day are not an issue. I have an APEC card so I can use the crew line which speeds things up a lot but I can be off the plane and in the OneWorld lounge within 30 minutes of landing all going well.

The crew line at LAX is often worse then the pax line!! On my trip there a couple of weeks ago it took 45 minutes to get the whole crew through.

2 hours for the conx will be fine.

Peter,
I did the 107 a 3 years ago, and the connection is fine. You will prob still have enough time to go get a coffee from starbucks, and have 30 mins to drink it before boarding is called..

What do you mean...."they can't go without you"? If your luggage isn't in the hold, they sure can.
