Jetgo to operate from Illawarra Regional Airport
It has been announced following a Council meeting last night that Jetgo are the preferred airline to operate the upcoming RPT services from YWOL . Embraer aircraft will be operating the services .

Reading between the lines council seems to be keen to regulate intrastate air services, pity that's not their domicile. Have a feeling they are using Jetgo in the hope a more stable airline (as far as routes go) will come along. I hope they do well, history has shown its a tough gig according to QantasLink and Impluse, not to mention a plethora of Navajo operators.

Jetgo have cancelled HVB to MEL a week into OPs with refunds for bookings over next three months, looking more and more like a "strategic" operation trying to find a home.

Hi guys,
With Jetgo due to commence flights to Wollongong on 30th October, it is interesting to note that no new terminal has been built (the old one burnt down and is now a square patch of grass). Does anyone know what they will use as a terminal as when I drove around the area I couldn't see anywhere, or any signage (probably a bit early!?). Thanks, Steve |
I believe there is a temporary terminal in place until a new one can be opened, I can let you all know on October 30 as I am on the inaugural flight from Essendon to Wollongong and on to Brisbane.
|
wish them luck.

JetGo's latest E145 is expected to commence it's ferry to Oz this week.

Hope this shows the three photos of the interior of the temp terminal.

Haha Mark’s comment about the temp terminal being onboard OJA wasn’t too fat wrong! ;)

Departure this morning to Brisbane apparently went well.
But the return leg this afternoon resulted in a missed approach (around the time of the southerly buster, so no idea if that was a factor in the missed approach), then a bunch of orbits off the coast before she headed direct to Essendon. Does anyone have the actual reason for bailing from YWOL instead of attempting more approaches? |

JG58 AVV - WOL running 3 hrs behind schedule this evening... Heading to Sydney. I'm assuming poor visibility @ WOL this evening.
|
There's light drizzle falling at present, so I'd assume the cloud base is pretty low.
|
Having flown on the inaugural service into WOL I would have to guess that there is not a great deal or margin for error flying in and out, so would guess diversions will be a norm for this service.
|
Difficult to develop a market without service reliability....
|
As I understand it they currently only have 3 active aircraft? VH-JGB is showing as last seen in Sydney last month.
There appears to have been no flights from WOL to MEB/BNE yesterday after Sunday night's delays? |

Did they turn it into a 3D jigsaw puzzle?

Thought they must have been short of an aircraft! They've been doing BNE-WGA-ABX-BNE (JGO33) lately.

Another E145 to be registered VH-JGK (currently N14923) will leave the states in the next month on delivery to AUS

Hi,
Does anyone know what is happening with JetGo ERJ135 VH-JGB? It has been at Sydney for three months. I notice that there were issues with ERJ135 VH-JZG on Friday where it was pulled out of service at BNE. The Brisbane to Wollongong flight was changed to VH-ZJG (after it had finished it's days duties at BNE) and arrived WOL late at 23.45pm instead of 14.50pm - 9 hours late. VH-ZJG remained on the WOL route the following day and the Albury & Wagga schedule was adjusted due to lack of aircraft. Thanks, Steve |
VH-JGB is still in Sydney and has no Rudder, Elevators, and Ailerons. The last flight I picked up on ADS-B for JGB was as JGO96 on 15/10/2017. This shot was taken on the KILO Apron on 29/12/2017.
