Highly unlikely given virgin plan to be all a330 coast to coast next year with only one extra a330 currently planned for delivery. (as far as I'm aware!)

Hey Paul, it is definitely a conversation at work, I have been trying to probe the rumour with only little response. The rumour was that XFA/B were heading for a C or D check and would then be refitted to TT interior/exterior.

I think this is quite likely to happen consider their intended target is JQ.

Thanks mate will try and catch up with you during the week.

If it does happen it would be good news for QF with 2 less VA A330s to compete with.

But, it would no doubt hurt JQ.

I flew on the VA A330 service Sydney-Perth return a couple of weeks back, and was quite impressed with the product. Drink & Meal Service both ways was good, and slightly different IFE on each aircraft (one with a much larger screen). Leg room in the two seats by the window was quite reasonable as well.

I think Jetstar is a way better airline and brand than Tigerair is (thanks to Tiger Airways).

Virgin will need to pull Tigerair's socks up for them, if that tacky little airline were to become capable of hurting Jetstar. At the moment they couldn't harm a fly.

You need more than an A330 in order to be a successful and respected airline.
