A.332
I have noticed that EBO and EBS are now configured as 27/228 - 255 seats a reduction from 28/243 - 271. They appear to be sold as 27/251 on International flights as 37A 37B 37J 37K (curtains) are crew rest seats. Business get an extra toilet in place of 5K and Y seats are reduced from Rows 23-39 and 44-58 to Rows 23-37 and 45-58.
EBV has also been in maintenance in BNE since 24 July so presume it is going to get the same conversion?? Any comments? |
EBO EBQ EBR EBS EBV will be reconfigured to a long range configuration. There is a tech crew rest being installed adjacent the mid galley area.
Assume EBP will also get reconfigured too to make up the fleet of six.
An internal email last week said that 2 more (EBM/N) will also get the reconfiguration. Making the -200T fleet 8 aircraft.
I wonder if at some point, they will get the newer screens in Y similar to the -300s. The previous generation resistive touchscreens in the -200s are starting to get a little bit long in the tooth given that these -200s will probably be operating on longer sectors than the -300s.
Arguably (and ironically), the domestic -200s with iPads are actually a better experience. |
After flying several legs recently on the 'regional' A332 including QF71/72 I couldn't agree more, I believe BYO IFE is the way forward.
Also, has anyone actually used the wifi on -EBB? |

This means QF will eventually have 10 domestic/international short haul configured A332 in 28J/243Y (including EBG which I understand is being upgraded/reconfigured and EBL which will happen next year) in and 8 international long-haul configured A332 in 27J/224Y. |

VH EBL has been in "maintenance" in BNE since 2 October, anyone know if it is getting its conversion to 271 seats now??
EBP is back in service QF51/52 13/14-11 no doubt converted to 27/228 seats.
EBL still in BNE |
I flew on EBP for QF51 13/11 and I can confirm it is in J27Y228
Has EBL also been repainted and had wifi fitted?
Wifi yes, repaint no. EBB remains the only A332 with wifi activated at this point in time
How come they haven’t turned wifi on in the other wifi fitted A322s?
EBL has finally left maintenance after 2 months and 2 days in BNE, now converted from 235 seats to J28Y243. That only leaves EBG in the "old" config. EBQ has gone in now to be converted to J27Y228. That leaves EBM and N to be done.
What’s up with VH-EBE?
Nothing, except it is having the largest of the 'C' checks. A 'C08". Due out in the next couple of days.
Back in service today on QF119, BNE/AKL at 08.15
Is VH-EBM in BNE for international reconfiguration?
EBG is going in for its refurbishment around Mid-May so that will mean all A330's will have the upgraded product which is great news!
Does anyone know when EBG will be out of the hanger in Brisbane following its refurb & general maintenance?
no word yet
Should be mid next week all going well.
EBG just finished its test flight and all going well will operate QF767 to PER tonight.
Is EBM now in for reconfiguration?
EBM is already reconfigured so its probably in for some maintenance
I believe that EBM and EBN are configured at 271 seats. I understood they were going to be the same as EBO, P, Q, R, S and V at 255 seats??

reverse the Y and J
When is EBM due to finish being reconfigured?
VH-EBM has now been converted to 27J 224Y.
The reconfiguration of VH-EBN to 27J 224Y is now the last part of the whole A330 Refurbishment/reconfiguration program |
When is EBJ due to return to service?
Just out of interest, I saw VH-EBA operate QF44 CBR-SYD on FlightRadar24. Never seen this happen. Any explanation?
Sean, QF44 is Denpasar-Sydney. This morning's flight diverted to Canberra.
Ah, ok. That explains it.
Is EBN in BNE for reconfiguration?
Yes. Also a heavy check.
EBN has finally been converted. Did a domestic BNE/PER/BNE last night as QF767/652, back in BNE this morning at 06.36am and off to HKG on QF97 at 09.35am
Does anyone have an update on EBB & when it might be returning to service?
