Champion Air Shuts down operations
 

Another one bites the dust. Thought it was ironic they ceased ops yesterday and one should arrive at BFI late this arvo however the press release states 'fulfill all outstanding service agreements' and mentions pay and benefits through May 31st so possibly charter ops will continue until then. For those that don't know Champion runs a decent size fleet of B727's and had a huge contract with the NBA here in the U.S. That contract was not reknewed recently and the company has been on the decline ever since.
