Lancasters Reunited
I received the following link from a contact intheUK.
This is just the trailer - will be fantastic when the full documentary is released later in the year. https://www.youtube.com/v/5Ol2rem6d3g&autoplay=1&rel=0 |
Even the trailer gives me goose bumps, can't wait for the full production.
Some beautiful air to air shots in the trailer. |
Comes up with playback error for me :(

Fantastic stuff. I saw PA474 - the RAF machine - flying a few years ago and that was powerful as it was... I followed the tour with much jealousy. At one point they overflew East Kirkby, a wartime airfield currently the base for NX611 'Just Jane' which is a Lancaster in taxiable condition (I managed to go for a taxi ride in it once too); so there were not one, not two but THREE Lancasters operating in the same place at the same time for the first time in, on I don't know, five decades??
Incidentally, good thing they didn't try it this year. PA474 suffered an in-flight engine fire a couple of weeks ago (some rather poignant photos floating around of the Lancaster trailing smoke from one engine...) and is grounded for some time. |
