NXH also overnighted in PBO so don't know what happened there...

Qantas have now confirmed the near miss was in fact a meeting together of tail planes.

Tailplanes "were stuck together" so either aircraft were unable to move.

Waiting for engineers to unstuck.

Just let some of the Nitrogen out of the tyres, that belongs to the aircraft whose elevator is underneath the others.

Quote:

Passengers are stranded at Paraburdoo Airport in the Pilbara after a runway mishap involving two planes.

........

As the Boeing 717 taxied along the runway about 4.30pm it came too close to a Network Aviation plane.

........

The Network Aviation Fokker F100 was stationary and empty.

........

Mr Snaith said he could not understand why someone was shouting at the pilot from the runway, apparently without a radio.
Gotta love the reporting....

Why is everything where the aircraft move called a runway?

What was the Network plane just lazing about on the runway for? Hardly a good place for a rest for a "stationary and empty" plane...

And what was someone doing out on the runway without a radio? I guess they do things a little differently at Paraburdoo....
