white plane at tullamarine/first experience of virgin blue

Hi folks, had to do a trip organised hastily by work to Melbourne(airport hilton hotel) last night for today, and when arriving spotted a white plane at the end of one of the runways - not with any markings or livery on. It is the other end of the (i would think) east west runway? Anyone have any ideas? I mte get a better look when i'm there on holidays in 2 weeks time.

With this work trip i also happened to catch DJ down and back - first time with DJ and was happy(esp. since i'm a QF FF). Although on my way down yesterday arvo (DJ858 - didn't get the rego) my tray table was broken, which was alright seeing i pretty much had the choice of any of the 6 seats in my row..Tonights return flight(DJ 871-VH-VUA) was good, with a bit of turbulance. We also got to hear the captain make a call that she was going to bank to the right. The more intresting thing, that i think would interest this board, was that after the flight touched down in sydney, one of the hostess made an announcement over the PA apologising for the flight running late, and then having a go at Sydney airport and only having one runway open. "One runway" is what i am questioning as a did see another virign flight heading out to the 3rd runway? Also, i did see on Friday night(very windy night) planes taking off on east/west runway. i thought this was closed late at night for works??
