Skybed on PER-SYD flights
Are Skybeds available on the red eye special from Perth to Sydney? According to the Qantas website, this flight is normally operated by the A330.

If the flight is scheduled to be operated by an A333, yes. But if it is an A332, it is likely you would get an Millennium (domestic J) seat but on the rare occasion, you might be lucky to score a international configured A332 with Skybeds.

It is flown by a domestically configured A332 (-EBK ususally), so no skybed, only millennium J seat.

This morning it was QPB.

Also, I read a while back that PER-SYD flights, although classified as Cityflyer flights, are serviced to international flight standards, ie: amenity packs, hot meals, etc. Is this still the case?
|
While it is ordinarily a domestic config 332, you do get 333's operating the flight sometimes, so it can happen.
As for service, you do get a choice of two hot meals and free wine/beer from lunch time (Used to be able to buy spirits/mixed drinks, but these seem to have been removed at some stage). Haven't seen an amenity pack for a while. |
On Mondays, the first morning flight in each direction is usually a 333, swapping over the aircraft that does the PER/SIN shuttle.
