Rex Silver Airlines Livery In SYD Today
 

One of the latest members of the Rex fleet was at Sydney Airport today, arriving from Broken Hill just before 0930L this morning. Late afternoon
VH-ZXK departed for a short return trip to Bathurst at 1548L. Saab 340B VH-ZXK (340B-420) 1997 build, was previous operated by Silver Airlines
as N420XJ, and is still sporting their quite smart livery.

Great photos Grahame! Hopefully it makes a trip to Wagga at some stage (and when I'm not at uni!).

Don't know about the hot pink nacelles.

I wonder how long it will be before it gets a Rex repaint ?

ZXK arrived in ADL on 23/12/15 and didn't go into service until 29/02/16.

Reportedly, teething problems.

I expect with WA ops, there might not be an opportunity to pull it out of service for a while and the pink nacelles will have to stay.

Finally made its way to Wagga yesterday (did have a scheduled flight on Sunday but was replaced with TRX and it ended up flying to Grafton)

ZXK is actually the youngest Saab340 in the Rex fleet - 19 years old.
