day rooms / hotels at LAX??
 

A friend is returning to Europe in a couple of weeks and has at least a 12 hour layover at LAX (flying in United domestic from Honolulu and flying out to London on Air New Zealand). She gets in at around 5am and leaves that night. Are there any airport hotels that offer day rooms? Or nearby hotels offering the same? Or shower facilities at the airport? (she is flying economy on both flights)

forget a hotel, rent a car and be a tourist, plenty to see in LA

There is the Ramada LAX - they have a pick up and drop off service . Rooms OK for a day. Theres a shopping mall close by (can't remember the name).
