2009 - Spotting Weekend Trivia Contest - Questions and WINNERS

Hi all,

On Saturday 7th February as part of our 7th organised Annual Spotting Weekend, we incorporated the 2nd Aviation Trivia Contest of its kind which was held at the St George Rowers Club. The Trivia Event was proudly created and presented by supreme trivia host, Mr Stephen Brown. My sincere thanks goes to him for his support throughout the preparation and presentation of the evening.

It was every man for himself on the night, and it certainly proved to be quite an interesting contest, having over 45 people in attendance to compete.

There were roughly 10-15 third place achievers, all having correctly guessed 9 out of 10 questions. That then left only two contenders who correctly guessed all 10 questions. Tied equal first was Jason Carruthers from Brisbane and Philip Edwards from the United Kingdom. We then had a play off!

The first tie-breaker question went by unanswered by both contenders.... But, there was to be only one winner, and to have correctly guessed the second tie-breaker question in lightning speed was Jason Carruthers from Brisbane. Congratulations!!
