TWO Special Days - Singapore Airlines Bring back the JUMBO
Yes that's Correct for TWO Very special Days Singapore Airlines are bringing back the Jumbo to Sydney, They only have 7 Left in the fleet and they normally fly to New York via Frankfurt and Los Angeles via Tokyo. For the 1st and 2nd of April because of the 100% plus Loads they have out of Sydney because of Easter they are giving us JUMBO'S again.

Jumbo? As of B747-400  or A380-800? :D
Which flight for Singapore Airlines is replacing with the 'Jumbo'? I sincerely hope that would be an A380-800, it is not only a safety reason, it also a maintenance of service quality. I believe First and Business passengers will get cheated and will be very very very angry as they cannot find Flat Bed Seats on board the aircraft if they are deploying B744. |

...and aren't A380s generally referred to as "Super Jumbos"?
|
That's great news.
The First SkySuites on SQ's 744s are by far so much better than the First product on the 77Ws. It is still one of my all time fave first seats. Such a great cabin even after all these years. Flew it one last time SYD-SIN last year. |
I second that !! If the equipment change is from a B777-200/300 to B747-400. I know I will be one of the very happy pax. The chance of flying B744 are getting rarer !

Hi Sam...true about the 744...but now we have the 748 on LH and KE to look forward.
Thanks for all the great pics! Cheers, |

Why don't you conduct a customer satisfaction survey and proceed to ask all F & J pax of these 'affected' services what they thought about having the equipment swap... |
I will add, it's replacing a 777-300ER
On the 1st & 2nd of April the 747-400 is doing SQ-222 out of Sydney. I guess SQ need the extra seats since they have put the A380 on the morning flight out of Sydney from 29 March.
It will be flying into Sydney as SQ-231. So good times for some of the Last photo's of a Singapore Jumbo in Sydney. |
