Yeah, very low density of traffic in addition to the fairly varied routes that are flown due to winds. SYD - LAX can sometimes go not far north of Auckland, and close to Apia before turning north and going up a long way, or sometimes it can go almost over Brisbane heading north before turning right and going north of Honolulu.

There are a couple of published air-routes which are occasionally used (esp if going near HNL and joining the HNL - USA routes.)

Any particular routes you are after?
