PASSENGERS on a Qantas flight to Los Angeles received a nasty surprise when water stored for the toilets poured from around the overhead bins.
Flight QF25 was travelling from Melbourne to Los Angeles via Auckland, the Aviation Herald reported.
The plane was flying over the Pacific when the water pipe supplying the toilets began to leak, causing water to pour into the passenger cabin.
The Boeing 747-400 was diverted to Honolulu Airport where it was serviced while passengers waited for two hours.
The flight resumed with the same equipment after the plane was given the all-clear.
The flight was delayed by five hours in total.
