As we taxied past tower in Syd this evening on VH VOS there was a announcement for the first officer that we had a very important pax onboard, who's father was working in the tower and if they could please wave to him out of the left hand window as we passed the tower.

Never heard that before!

We also unusually did a lap of the block in Melbourne - we were on a taxiway in front of the Virgin Apron and then did a lap around past freight area then back again must have gone too far and not left space for a departing airraft to exit apron area?????
