Defence can confirm that an Army Black Hawk helicopter conducted a precautionary landing today in Sydney.
The Black Hawk which was on a training flight at the time when a warning light in the cabin was lit. The crew then followed standard operating procedures and called possible assistance necessary and subsequently landed the Black Hawk at Headen Park, Normanhurst, Sydney, which was the safest area available.
The helicopter landed safely without damage or any injury to the crew or anyone on the ground.
A maintenance team has been dispatched to investigate the cause of the warning light.
